The 10th annual Dolphins Cancer Challenge is about to kick-off!

It features bike rides and a 5k run/walk that will be taking place February 29th at Hard Rock Stadium and around multiple other locations around South Florida like Miami, Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale. Current Miami Dolphins players and former Dolphin legends always participate in the event that is designed to battle cancer with the help of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Together, the Miami Dolphins and Sylvester, have raised $32.5 million to fight cancer.

"It's been a great partnership. It started in honor of "Mad Dog" Mandich, who was battling colon cancer. He started the whole thing. The biggest thing that has happened to Sylvester is we achieved National Cancer Institute designation. We've been referred to as the crown jewel of the nation's effort to fight cancer. So, the NCI designation is something we're really proud of and we got there because of the support of the Dolphin's Cancer Challenge and others who have contributed so much to our mission," said Dr. Stephen Nimer, the director of the Sylvester Cancer Center

You can sign up to participate or simply donate as little as one dollar at dolphinscancerchallenge.com.
