The official media day for the Big Game was called “Opening Night.” It had a little bit of everything as both teams took center stage in front of adoring fans! And, Kirk Gimenez got to soak it all in on Monday night at Marlins Park.

“It’s all a blessing. We’re going to ball out!” said Chris Lammons, Chiefs Defensive Back and former Dolphin.

Gimenez asked Damien Williams, the Chiefs Running Back and former Dolphin, what advice he’s given to his fellow Chief teammates about Miami, the distractions and Hard Rock Stadium.

“I tell them about all the great spots, where to eat, where to hangout. At the end of the day you want to take all this in and you want to enjoy. It’s different for me because I’ve already enjoyed it but for other people I tell them take all this in, go where you need to go, and at the end of the day know what we are here for. I feel like I am going to bring it (championship) home,” said Williams.

49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, who went to high school at St. Thomas Aquinas and was just named the NFL Rookie of The Year, also feeling right at home.

“It’s unbelievable just to be back. South Florida, the place I love to be in. I love the humidity. I love everything about it, so I am excited to be home. I definitely could've dreamed it, but it’s happening and it’s pretty awesome,” said Bosa.

With Opening Night taking place just one day after the Kobe Bryant tragedy, the NFL held a moment of silence in the honor of the victims from that terrible helicopter crash.
