Miami-Dade county mayor Carlos Gimenez and leaders from coastal cities have agreed on a target date of June 1 for the reopening of beaches.
June 1 will also allow for the expansion of hotel accommodations for those other than essential lodgers.
City managers will be meeting with County staff and medical experts to create rules that would be necessary for a safe reopening.
