Two New COVID-19 Testing Sites in Miami-Dade County

Two more COVID-19 testing sites have opened in Miami-Dade County. One is on the grounds of the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition, and the other is at Amelia Earhart Park.

The drive-through testing at the County Fair & Exposition is designated for those 18 years and older who are experiencing symptoms.

Appointments must be made by calling 305-499-8767. The call center opens at 9 a.m. and takes 300 appointments for the following day. Once the slots are filled the call center closes until the next day at 9 a.m.. The entrance to the site is at SW 20th and 107th Avenue.

“I want to thank our partners at FIU and the Florida Department of Health for working with us to launch this testing site at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition grounds,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez. “This new site gives our residents access to the testing they need so that we can save lives and continue working to flatten the curve of COVID-19.”

Amelia Earhart Park in the City of Hialeah is also hosting a drive-through testing center for residents 65 and older.

The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 305-268-4319.

Testing will only be for those who meet the criteria and have scheduled an appointment in advance. The call center opens at 9 a.m. daily and will remain open until the appointment slots for the following day are filled. No walk-ins; cars only. No bikes or mopeds. Individuals being tested must sit by a working window. Only two individuals permitted in the vehicle: driver and passenger.

Individuals with an appointment should enter Amelia Earhart Park through the entrance at Palm Avenue and 65th Street in Hialeah. The testing will occur at the rotunda immediately adjacent to the entrance: Amelia Earhart Park: 401 E 65th Street, Hialeah, FL 33013.
