LeafFilter, one of the largest home improvement companies in the country and the number one-rated gutter guard system, kicked off 2020 here in South Florida.
Owner and founder Matt Kaulig invited more than 500 of his employees to party in Miami. The festivities included a black-tie company awards ceremony called the Summit Awards.
"We just came down here to party," said Kaulig.
It’s all part of Matt’s positive philosophy on workplace culture.
"I think company culture is the most important thing you can have in a company. You can have great people, you can have great skills, you can have great products and everything else but you've got to have a great culture," added Kaulig.
That sensational culture includes two clear reminders that Matt wears on his wrists, a wristband that says TNT, which stands for, "Today Not Tomorrow", and he also wears a, "Be Positive" wristband.
“Everybody in the company wears these wristbands that say LeafFilter and TNT. Don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today, and you can do that in your business life and you can do that in your personal life. It’s just something the company can hold on to,” said Kaulig.
LeafFilter is part of is part of Leaf Home Solutions. Matt’s company has held nine party trips, two of them in Miami. The company loves Florida and it’s expanding its footprint here in the Sunshine State.
“We’re in Tampa Bay, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and we’re getting ready in a couple of weeks to open up in Tallahassee. That’ll be seven offices in Florida. I love the State of Florida, it’s a great state and a great place to do business,” said Kaulig.
