It’s been almost two months since restaurants in South Florida had to shut down due to COVID-19. Here in Miami, one of the city’s most popular brick and mortar destinations are still offering their delicious and cheesiest comfort foods to their customers.

Located on Biscayne Boulevard, Ms. Cheezious is still operating with 98% of their staff on hand, they are open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and are providing takeout, contactless pickup, and delivery on all of the food delivery apps.

From working with Frontline Foods Miami to bringing out the famous Ms. Cheezious food truck for a charter school. The restaurant has been giving back to our community during these trying times.

"We just started working with the city of Miami, Commissioner Hardemon distributed some $10 vouchers to residents in Miami. So, they could go on the city website, they can sign up, they can get $10 vouchers and they can come in. We have a special menu and they can get a nice meal from a restaurant. I know everybody has been home and cooped up, but they can come in and get a free meal with the voucher,” said Brian Mullins, Owner of Ms. Cheezious.

With Miami-Dade and Broward Counties reopening soon, many restaurants will be opening their dining area. Here at Ms. Cheezious, operations will remain the same.

“I think that maintaining what we are maintaining until we personally feel comfortable, we’re going to continue the way we are continuing at the moment. We do have the outdoor seating in the back, which we are going to prepare, we haven’t used it for two months. We are raking the leaves and trimming the trees. When it comes to it, that’s probably going to be our first place that we can put people, safely. I think people will feel comfortable sitting outside. Again, I think that the state, the city, and the county have to come up with the protocols. Personally, we will figure out if that works for us or if we have to take things a step further and we will do our best to keep everyone safe outside,” said Mullins.

Brian also says that the famous food truck will be out and running only for catering events. This way it keeps its customers and staff safe. If you want to see their full menu head on over to mscheezious.com
